Ultimate Staffing is seeking a Project Industrial Engineer to join a client in Fort Worth. This is a full-time, direct hire position. The role is 100% onsite.

The Project Industrial Engineer (Project IE) is responsible for leading production layout planning, capacity management, and operational improvement initiatives that support new product introductions, facility expansions, and manufacturing optimization. This role partners closely with cross-functional teams to enhance operational efficiency, ensure adequate production capacity, and drive data-driven business decisions through analytical and continuous improvement methodologies.

Key Responsibilities:

Facility Layout & Infrastructure Planning

  • Develop, maintain, and optimize production line and facility layouts to support operational and business requirements.
  • Create layout proposals that improve material flow, space utilization, productivity, and overall manufacturing efficiency.
  • Support plant expansion and greenfield construction projects by tracking project milestones, facility readiness, and implementation progress.
  • Coordinate with Engineering, Manufacturing, Operations, and other stakeholders to execute facility modifications and layout changes.
  • Ensure facility designs align with production demand, future growth, safety standards, and operational objectives.

Capacity Planning & Analysis

  • Participate in internal and customer-facing capacity planning reviews.
  • Perform capacity assessments and develop detailed capacity models, forecasts, and utilization analyses.
  • Prepare and present capacity reports to management and customers to support business planning and decision-making.
  • Monitor production demand, resource availability, and capacity utilization to identify risks and opportunities.
  • Maintain accurate production model data and capacity information within customer systems, including Anaplan.

Project Management & Operational Excellence

  • Lead and support projects related to new product introductions, process optimization, and manufacturing expansion initiatives.
  • Utilize industrial engineering principles, operations research techniques, and optimization tools to improve operational performance.
  • Analyze manufacturing, production, and business data to identify trends, constraints, and improvement opportunities.
  • Develop and implement solutions that enhance productivity, capacity, efficiency, quality, and cost performance.
  • Drive continuous improvement initiatives using Lean, data analytics, and problem-solving methodologies.
  • Collaborate across multiple functions to ensure successful project execution and achievement of business objectives.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Industrial Engineering, Manufacturing Engineering, Operations Management, or a related field.
  • Experience supporting manufacturing operations, facility expansions, or new product introductions.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to translate data into actionable recommendations.
  • Proficiency in Excel, data visualization tools, and manufacturing planning systems.
  • Knowledge of Lean Manufacturing, Six Sigma, and capacity modeling techniques.
